Many careers are one course away — a certification, a pre-licensing class, a required credential. For people already stretched thin, that tuition is the wall. Kimi Cares exists to be the bridge: helping qualified individuals obtain the education they need, then step into work that supports a household.
Wellness and community health remain part of our work as occasional community initiatives — but education, workforce development, and economic empowerment define who we are.
Career Pathways Scholarship Program
Education we help make affordable.
Awards may cover all or part of tuition for eligible vocational, licensing, and certification education. Examples of the kinds of training we aim to support:
Certification & Credential Training
Short-term programs that lead to a recognized credential — such as DOT specimen collector training and similar workforce certifications.
Professional Licensing Education
Pre-licensing and continuing education requirements, including insurance pre-licensing, notary and loan signing education, and process-server training.
Job Readiness & Technology Skills
Resume, interview, and digital-skills preparation that helps candidates convert a new credential into an actual offer.
Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship
Budgeting, credit, and small-business education for people building income through employment or their own venture.

Workshops on budgeting, credit, and the fundamentals of starting a legitimate small business, so new income becomes lasting stability.

Occasional health awareness and community wellness events, offered alongside — not in place of — our educational mission.

We exist to help people get educated — not to send students anywhere.
Scholarship recipients are selected on objective financial-need and program criteria. Recipients choose from approved training providers, and any arrangement involving an organization affiliated with our leadership is governed by a written conflict-of-interest policy, including disclosure and recusal from the related decision.

Meet Our Founder
Kimberly Churchill
Kimberly Churchill is an entrepreneur, educator, insurance professional, and the founder of Kimi Cares Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to education, career development, and economic opportunity.
With more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and a background in entrepreneurship, professional training, and workforce development, Kimberly understands how education and career credentials can open doors to greater financial independence.
Through her work as a business owner and educator, she has seen firsthand that many individuals are eager to pursue new careers but are often held back by the cost of training, licensing, certifications, and other resources needed to get started. That realization helped shape the vision for Kimi Cares.
Kimberly believes financial circumstances should not determine a person's access to opportunity. Through scholarships, educational assistance, career-development initiatives, and community resources, Kimi Cares aims to help individuals overcome financial barriers and gain the skills and credentials needed to pursue meaningful careers, entrepreneurship, and greater economic stability.

For Training Providers
Partner training rules.
Scholarship funds are paid to approved training providers on behalf of a recipient. These are the standards a provider agrees to before we send anyone their way.
Legitimate, documented programs
The provider delivers a defined program with published curriculum, hours, and a credential, certificate, or exam eligibility at completion.
Transparent, itemized pricing
Tuition, fees, exam costs, and materials are quoted in writing before enrollment. No surprise charges added after an award is issued.
Direct-to-provider payment
Awards are paid to the provider for a named recipient's tuition. Funds are never routed through staff, board members, or the recipient as cash.
No referral fees or kickbacks
Providers do not pay Kimi Cares — or anyone connected to it — for referrals, placements, or enrollment volume.
Recipient choice is protected
Recipients may choose any approved provider. No one is required to enroll with a provider affiliated with our leadership.
Conflict-of-interest disclosure
Any provider affiliated with a board member, officer, or instructor is disclosed in writing, and that person recuses themselves from the related decision.
Enrollment and completion reporting
Providers confirm enrollment, attendance, and completion for funded recipients so awards can be documented and reported.
Refunds return to the fund
If a recipient withdraws, any refundable balance is returned to Kimi Cares — not to the recipient — and recycled into the scholarship fund.
Nondiscrimination
Providers serve funded recipients on the same terms as any other student, without discrimination.
Removal for cause
Kimi Cares may suspend or remove a provider from the approved list at any time for misrepresentation, poor outcomes, or violation of these rules.
